In September, 2003, because of believing in Almighty God, she was arrested by the CCP government during a house meeting. At the same time, she saw through the devilish substance of the CCP and had true discernment of justice and evil, which even more stirred up her resolution to pursue to love God and know God!

Flexible and Modular Natural gas operating fleet concept receives Approval in Principle

The technology group Wärtsilä and COSCO shipping Heavy Industry Co (CHI) have announced the joint development of a natural gas operating fleet concept, and this design has now obtained Lloyd’s Register’s (LR) Approval in Principle (AiP) certificate. The development project was carried out under the terms of a memorandum of understanding cooperation signed in June 2016 between the three companies.
The aim of the concept is to offer global operators a more efficient and economical fleet design that meets current and anticipated environmental requirements according to the classification rules. The fleet comprises four vessels; a pusher tug, LNG storage barge, LNG regasification barge, and a floating liquefaction natural gas barge. The pusher tug can be used to transport the three barges.
The concept’s main advantages are its operative flexibility, and the fleet’s competitive CAPEX and OPEX costs. The pusher tug makes all the units mobile and transportable. The number and choice of units will depend on the project, since not all of the concept’s units are necessarily needed for every project. For example, the concept can be utilized to act as an LNG carrier (using only the pusher tug and LNG storage barge), or it can be used for more complex projects involving liquefaction and regasification systems (using all units). The modular design of Wärtsilä’s liquefaction and regasification units makes this an ideal concept for gas plants in the 50-200 MW range. The low draft design also makes it very attractive for gas power plant projects in South East Asia.
The project has attained the authority of China’s National Patent Office and has been conceptualised by CHI. The design and engineering development, especially in relation to the hinge joint, mooring arrangement, ship type and seakeeping analysis, has also been carried out by CHI. Wärtsilä has supported this project through its extensive experience and expertise in supplying LNG systems for the complete gas value chain. It is expected that when ordered, the fleet vessels will include Wärtsilä dual-fuel engines and steerable thrusters, the Wärtsilä LNGPac gas storage and supply system, a Wärtsilä liquefaction module, a Wärtsilä LNG cargo handling system, and a Wärtsilä regasification module.
“This is a new and innovative fleet concept that is designed to create better efficiencies for companies involved in any part of the natural gas supply chain. By combining CHI’s know-how in this field with Wärtsilä’ s vast technological competences, we have together taken yet another step forward in creating an optimal LNG supply chain,” says Sanjay Verma, Director, Business Development, South East Asia, Wärtsilä Marine Solutions.

“LR has completed a preliminary hazard identification (HAZID) study for this innovative design. This study covered the fuel gas supply system, the transfer of LNG between the vessels, as well as the mooring arrangement of the fleet, and as a result the Approval in Principle certificate has been issued,” says Ms Wei Ying, Principal Specialist & General Manager, Shanghai Technical Support Office, Lloyd’s Register Marine & Offshore.

Brooklyn Mall now gives speeds over 240Mb/s on Vodacom 4G+
The Brooklyn Mall, situated in the heart of Pretoria’s cosmopolitan Embassy suburbs, can now lay claim to “The fastest 4G+ shopping mall in South Africa”. This follows speed tests performed on Vodacom’s network at the mall, clocking an impressive 240Mb/s on 4G+.
These speeds were achieved by the careful optimising of Vodacom’s 4G+ network at the mall, via refarming of existing spectrum and utilising advanced antenna technologies. With the recent launch of latest generation handsets, even higher speeds can be expected.
Andries Delport, Chief Technology Officer for Vodacom Group commented:
“The blazing speeds on our 4G+ network at Brooklyn Mall are further proof that our mobile network continues to be the best in SA. Crucially, the impressive speeds at this mall showcase the kind of superfast connectivity that we can provide to South Africans, if we had access to spectrum. Access to additional spectrum would help us to do a lot more to extend coverage in the rural areas of SA .
Recent studies by the World Bank have shown that a 10% increase in a country’s broadband penetration results in a 0,6 % increase in gross domestic product.
Including the current period, capital expenditure across the Group will total R40.6 billion over a three-year period with R27.4 billion in South Africa alone. If we factor in inflation, Vodacom has invested R142 billion in its network infrastructure in SA since its inception.
Vodacom’s 2G network now covers 99.9% of the country’s population, with 3G at 99.2% and 4G at 70%. This is the broadest coverage of the country’s Mobile Network Operators and underpins the company’s commitment to making broadband even more accessible for South Africans.

A 10m investment into the UKs largest biotechnology start-up could help animal scientists at the University of Edinburgh improve the health and productivity of farmed animals.
The investment, being made in new company Roslin Technologies, will develop business opportunities arising from the university’s world-leading animal research.
It’s hoped that the move will mean farmers and the market will be able to access and make use of scientific innovations more easily.
Secured thanks to funding from institutional investors, the money will initially be used to help researchers explore the commercial benefits of technologies which enable low-cost manufacturing of new medicines using chickens.
By developing ways to preserve frozen stocks of reproductive material from birds, scientists hope they will be able to safeguard the future of rare bird species which may carry useful genetic information that makes them to existing and future diseases.
The company will also bring to market new veterinary vaccines and tools for diagnosing animal diseases.

It is is a partnership between the University, the agriculture-focused private equity advisors JB Equity and the British Innovation Fund, a newly-formed fund that invests in leading innovation venture funds and companies from British universities.
The Roslin Institute, which receives strategic funding from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, is located with the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies on the University of Edinburgh’s Easter Bush campus.
Research on the campus is focused on the applications of basic animal sciences in human and veterinary medicine, the livestock industry and food security.
The past five years has seen more than £200m of capital investments in research facilities on the campus, making it the largest concentration of animal science anywhere in Europe.
Professor Bruce Whitelaw, Interim Director of The Roslin Institute, said: “The Roslin Institute is internationally recognised for providing a strategic research base for large animal genetics and health science within the UK.
“Having pioneered the commercialisation of animal biotechnology for three decades, the establishment of Roslin Technologies now provides an exciting platform to accelerate the translation of Roslin’s data driven innovations into the commercial sector.”
